“Nicole’s classroom demands rigorous discipline and technical focus but does so in a warm, joyful and flexible way that emphasizes the humanity of her students and the holistic balance of the artist. Her students walk out of her class with an overflowing toolkit that balances the physical - technique, alignment, anatomy, logistic, mechanics - and the intangible - artistry, freedom, perspective, opinion and individuality.”

“Nicole navigates whatever space she is in with intention and care for everyone in the room. Teaching is one of her many strengths, as I always leave her classes with newfound information and curiosity. The feedback she gives is infused with clear objectives and distinct ways to achieve these objectives. Her teaching practices are also anatomically safe and focused on increasing the longevity of the dancing body by performing movements that are rooted in an understanding of how the body’s systems work and align to create visual art.”

Working with Nicole has had a profound impact on both of my daughters' dance journeys. She emphasizes the importance of foundational technique in all styles with incredible precision and depth. Nicole possesses a gift that ultimately inspires dancers to have a love for the art of dance that goes beyond just the steps. Beyond the physical aspects, Nicole has also taught my girls the importance of kindness, humility, and respect—values that will stay with them for a lifetime.”

My classroom is a space where rigorous discipline and technical precision meet warmth, joy, and flexibility—an environment that challenges students while honoring their humanity. I encourage dancers to develop a toolkit that extends beyond physical mastery - technique, alignment, musicality, and mechanics - into the intangible: artistry, freedom, perspective, and individuality. My training and professional experience allow me to connect with a wide range of students and their interests while modeling the diverse spaces they can inhabit as artists. I believe that growth is not just about executing movement but about cultivating confidence, critical thinking, and self-awareness. Through a responsive and personalized approach, I invest deeply in each student’s journey, ensuring they feel seen, valued, and supported in shaping their own path. I am mindful of the perspectives I bring and continuously work toward fostering an inclusive, adaptable space where all students can thrive. Dance is both a discipline and a gift, and I strive to instill in my students the joy, curiosity, and resilience that will serve them both in and beyond the studio.
